Performance Comparison: Direct Push Wells versus Drilled Wells

"No significant performance differences were observed between the direct-push wells and drilled wells."

This was the reported result of a ground-breaking study sponsored by the Naval Facilities Engineering Command. The comparison was conducted on the leading edge of a methyl-tertiary butyl ether (MTBE) plume at Naval Base Ventura County, Port Hueneme, California. The study design was assisted and work reviewed by an advisory committee of experts from industry, government regulatory entities, and academia.
